James is a Shareholder/Director focused on serving the accounting, tax and audit needs of Denver construction and real estate companies.
In his role, James works with business owners to manage their compliance and reporting needs. From accounting management and tax planning to financial statement and 401(k) audits, James has a vast foundation of experience. He understands the challenges many businesses face when managing growth, planning for expansion, or navigating the various federal and state tax regulations. Whatever the need, James approaches each client the same, looking for opportunities to add value, implement best practices and impart meaningful business insights.
While he loves numbers, his true passion is helping clients reach the “aha moment” about their business. Connecting with industry leaders is easy for James because he grew up in construction, working several years for a heavy highway contractor. This experience allows him to understand the unique challenges industry companies face from various angles.
James earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Colorado Mesa University. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Colorado. James is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Colorado Society of CPAs and the Construction Financial Management Association. Outside of the office, he indulges in his love of hiking, camping, biking and golf.
